Blend, 70% Monastrell, 15% Syrah, 15% Garnacha
Area of Growing
The Gravels, 22ha (54 acres) of stony soil on the mountainsides at an altitude of 760 metres (2500 feet). The Monastrell variety is grown there as well as the Syrah and the Garnacha. Our most mineral wine, Las Gravas, is made with a yearly selection of grapes grown there.
Elaboration
Fermentation traditional in small underground stone tanks, each variety separate way, under controlled temperatures.
Aging
Aging 18 months in fudres, the wines are blended after the ageing ( 70% Monastrell, 15% Syrah, 15% Garnacha).
